About Christa Saltzman, PA Licensed Acupuncturist, NCCAOM Diplomate of Acupuncture
Christa is a graduate of La Salle University and the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is Pennsylvania Licensed and registered, as well as Nationally Certified by the NCCAOM, and has been practicing acupuncture for over 13 years.
Christa's journey into Acupuncture came after experiencing a "never-ending flu" in the 1980's and a diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, fibromyalgia, and fevers of unknown origin. After four years, twelve specialists and many tests that concluded that nothing was wrong with her, her family doctor decided to test her for Lyme disease. The test was positive -- Lyme in its most advanced stage of disease. After IV Therapy to treat the disease, she still was plagued with issues and was told by her doctors that she might be permanently disabled. One young doctor finally suggested acupuncture as a possible treatment.
Acupuncture was nothing short of miraculous for her. The pain started to subside, swelling went down, headaches and fevers lessened. At that point Christa knew she wanted to study Acupuncture so she could help others the way she had been helped.
Christa has a gift for putting people at ease with her gentle, compassionate way and her skillful, caring treatments. She can also identify with those who experience frustration in their search for relief of long-term pain or illness. Christa is quite knowledgeable in the deeper art of acupuncture and is happy to share her knowledge and answer questions during sessions.
