Session 1 of a Three-Part Series for the Changing Body, Realignment & the Emerging Self
Menopause isn't a disease. It isn't about getting your old self back. And it isn't the same for everyone.
What if menopause is also about transformation?
Menopause is a significant physical, emotional and personal transition – one that can leave us wondering what is happening to our bodies, questioning things we once accepted, and reconsidering who we are and what we want from the next chapter of our lives.
Menopause Metamorphosis brings together a diverse group of women's health, wellness and coaching professionals for an honest, practical and empowering exploration of this transition.
These aren't lectures. Each two-hour session combines expert guidance with candid conversation, audience Q&A, practical tools and an experiential component—all within an intimate group of just 14 women.
We'll talk about the things women really want to understand – hormones, sleep, weight changes, pelvic health and libido, nutrition, brain fog, anxiety, anger, changing appearance, boundaries, relationships, identity and purpose. But we'll also take the conversation further, exploring what happens when we stop treating menopause simply as a collection of symptoms to manage and begin supporting the women we are becoming.
SESSION 1 - THE CHANGING BODY: Becoming Primordial Goo
SUPPORT: What is happening to me – and how do I support my body through it?
What we'll cover: Hormones. Hot flashes. Sleep. Metabolism and body composition. Inflammation. Gut health. Muscle and bone health. Pelvic and vaginal changes. Sexuality and libido. We'll explore the changing body through functional medicine, women's health/pelvic floor physical therapy and Chinese medicine and offer practical things you can begin doing now.
Our Panelists: Theresa Feola, PT, WCS - Pelvic Floor Therapy, Women’s Health (The Pelvic Room); Kristina Potteiger, PA - Functional Medicine (Revive Holistic Health); Christa Saltzman, Dipl. Ac. - Acupuncture (Eagle Acupuncture)
Thursday, October 22 | 6:30–8:30 PM | $100 session or $250 entire series
SESSION 2 - REALIGNMENT: Outgrowing the Good Girl & Nourishing What's Emerging
REALIGN: What happens when the old rules, roles and ways of doing things no longer fit?
What we'll cover: Nutrition. Brain fog. Anxiety. Anger and irritability. Sleep. Stress. Nervous system changes. Changing bodies, appearance and body image. Boundaries. People-pleasing. Caretaking. The cultural expectations placed on women as we age. We'll explore what's no longer working, what our bodies and emotions may be trying to tell us, and how we can realign the way we nourish, care for and express ourselves as who we are now.
Our Panelists: Christina Gamez, RN - Holistic Nurse Coach & Healing Touch Practitioner (The Healing Sanctuary); Maureen McCooey - Nutritional Therapist (Planted Kitchens); Jenn Musselman, Personal Development Coach & Wardrobe Consultant (2 Suns Life Coaching)
Tuesday, November 10 | 6:30–8:30 PM | $100 session
SESSION 3 – REDEFINING: The Emerging Self
REDEFINE: Who am I becoming – and what becomes possible when I stop trying to return to who I was?
What we'll cover: Relationships. Changing family roles. Empty nesting and caregiving. Purpose. Creativity. Friendship and community. Desire. Changing priorities. Letting go. Defining enough. Making room for what matters. Aging on purpose – challenging our assumptions about getting older, redefining what aging can look like for women, and considering how we can help change a culture that too often equates a woman's youth with her value.
This final session moves beyond menopause education into a deeper conversation about the possibilities of midlife – redefining aging, reconsidering what matters now, and consciously shaping how we want to live in the years ahead.
Our Panelists: Kristina Potteiger, PA - Functional Medicine (Revive Holistic Health); Christina Gamez, RN - Holistic Nurse Coach & Healing Touch Practitioner (The Healing Sanctuary); TBD
